The purpose of BabySitters.com is to connect babysitters and parents. We accomplish this by making the process of creating a profile on BabySitters.com quick and easy. This guide offers a quick guide on creating a profile on BabySitters.com along with some tips on making your experience on BabySitters.com a success.

Creating a Babysitter Profile
For starters, children (persons under the age of 18) are not eligible to use BabySitters.com unsupervised and we ask that children do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use BabySitters.com in conjunction with and under the supervision of your parents or guardians. In no case can a child under the age of 13 create a profile on BabySitters.com. This ensures that we stay in compliance with The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA).
Next, you will need to select a membership plan. Currently, BabySitters.com offers a free plan and a premium plan. The features of each plan are highlighted below:

The Premium plan does offer a number of important benefits including expedited editorial review of your profile, access to jobs posted by parents looking for a sitter, and preferred ranking of your profile in the search results.
Step 2 requires you to enter your contact information. Please ensure that you provide accurate contact information so that parents can reach you. When you are finished, click 'Continue' located at the bottom of the page.
In Step 3 you will enter in details such as your desired hourly rate, the number of children that you are willing to work with, and you availability. When you are finished, click 'Continue' located at the bottom of the page.
You will enter in your experience as a childcare provider and enter in your personal references in Step 4. Although most of the selections in this step are optional, providing information about your experience will save both you and the parent time. When you are finished, click 'Continue' located at the bottom of the page.
Step 5 displays all of the information you have provided for your Babysitter Profile. Review the information to ensure that all of the information is accurate. You can edit each section as needed. When you are finished, click 'Continue' located at the bottom of the page.
Review the Babysitter's Pledge, and check the box if you agree.
Once you verifiy your email address, your Babysitter Profile will be reviewed by a BabySitters.com editor and will be available on the site within one business day if you are a Sitter Premium member. If you are a Sitter Basic member this process may take up to four days.
